Before you get too worried about having a big project, consider that most experienced audiophiles on these forums do NOT recommend bothering with the rear speakers. They are poorly placed, small in size, and generally don't offer much return for the amount of work required to install.

I upgraded my system with only the front 4 and I'm very happy with the results.
