I've played prov's for about 2 years solid now and love them. I only play the prov1 x if I find them since I don't feel my swing speed is fast enough where the harder ball matters. They do sometimes fly straighter on my drives though when I'm having one of those slice days lol
Also just my 2 cents on putters is that if you golf a lot and have the money to spare go with a Scotty Cameron. I was just a average putter with good read ability. I switched to a Scotty Cameron black putter the week they came out and I cut out a bunch of typical three putts from my game. They feel of the putter helped me stay on line and smooth out my stroke. Also I think it's a mental boost holding a Scotty lol confidence in a Putting stroke does wonders when you can commit to a line and speed. Dropped me from mid/high 90s to mid/80s real quick. Now if I can just figure out how to get my driver more consistent I could easily be mid 70s haha.

I will flip between a Pro V1 and Pro V1x, though I think the lack of spin on the X helps keep my drive straighter at times, but I'd like to have the control on the green when I need to draw it back (sometimes I can do that, most of the time I'm just happy I'm on the green.
)
I haven't decided on a putter yet, though I think I want one of those fat grips on it. I've never hit with one, but it seems it would help with the feel, etc.
I'll go look at putters here soon.
I think if I played a bit more and now that I'm getting my stroke down after lessons, I could be back into mid-80's. I just have to practice more to get the consistency with the irons/short game to get myself back to low-80's or even into the 70's. Man, I'm pumped to play again. I don't know why I stopped for a couple of months!
