A friend of mine that manages a Nissan parts department on the other side of Oregon, told me the same thing, and me gave me the same advice, but by that time I said screw it, and had ordered the parts, and didn't pursue it anything further. Then after all that I decided to try flushing and changing the clutch fluid, which fixed the problem, and that's where it was decided by the technicians that the clutch fluid which had a little over 9000 miles on it had boiled, and that the CSC, and the master were fine.
I'm not saying that's this is the fix for MacLean, but it really sounds like the same issue I had.
