Here's why I feel that way. Even a 3 yo can kill someone with a gun, basically anyone can kill/hurt someone with a gun, it's too easy.
It takes physical brawn to wield a sword, war hammer, ax etc. And you have to do it up close and personal so effort and commitment is required to kill.
It takes little to no effort with a gun and it's very easy to pull a trigger. but like I said, that ship has sailed.

No, no -- I agree with you completely.
I'm also not a big fan of "wild west" based theories of achieving peace.
I only meant to suggest that guns aren't like other tools or appliances -- not trying to give you a hard time or anything -- and I think we are very much on the same page here -- I just think its important to explicitly
not think of guns as approximately equivalent to hammers, knives, cars, toasters, etc.
I'd also like to think the relevant ship hasn't sailed, although, to be sure, there's nothing waiting at the dock at the moment.
