Its true that road debris punctured the floor and caused the fires. They need to determine how big and object can do that and at what speed. There is no NHSTA test for that, unlike gas cars where they have to take a certain impact and not explode. Plus fire departments have to learn that applying water to a lithium ion battery fire.....is not a good idea. I guess halon would work, but that might suffocate a driver.
