What are your goals? That is the real question.
If it is just to be healthy, working out will not make you healthier than a proper balanced diet. By balanced, I mean a diet where your carbs/fats/proteins/fibers/vitamins are at a proper amount.
If you are trying to lose weight, workout is not the key answer either. It is eating at a deficit. Burn more calories than you consume and you will lose weight.
Are you doing it just to try something knew? If so just go to the gym and try the kettle bells there. You don't want to buy it and have it sitting around.
