the 245/40-19 diameter is 26.8". 275/35-19 are 26.5". 285/35-19 are 26.9". the speedometer would actually read more accurate with the 285 because cars tend to come from the factory reading ~2mph fast.

the reason why you feel that way about the re760 is because it is an UHP tire vs the S04/re050a being max performance, which is a higher grade. also the re760 wet performance rating isn't as high as the s04 (
