Quick two cents:
I have a Nismo and my ex-gf had an Evo, which I drove regularly. It was a fun car - it handled great, it was REALLY quick, and it looked awesome.
That said, the interior was that of the cheapest imaginable econobox. It was so horrible for a car that expensive. Not that the Nismo is ultralux, but the Evo is far worse.
Also, the lack of a sixth gear (on the manual GSR) made it a terrible car for driving on the freeway. Even going 60-70, the thing was buzzing at a moderately high RPM; it was thus twitchy and the noise was annoying for long trips.
The AWD is nice if you live somewhere with inclement weather, but do you really want to take your $40k car out in the snow with other people sliding around anyway?
Those are the things I'd consider if weighing the Evo vs. the Nismo. The Nismo feels a lot more like an upscale sports car while the Evo feels like what it is - a bottom of the line economy sedan with upgraded drivetrain and suspension.
