So here's what happened: Left work, everything was fine, drove about a mile, came up to an intersection and heard a loud metal on metal sound screeching outside my window. I actually thought it was the car next to me so I didn't think much of it. Pulled away and got on the highway, the sound continued and I realized it was my Z. Pulled over right away, and had AAA tow my car to the dealership
I think it might be a wheel bearing. The car drove completely fine, brakes seemed fine, steering, all the gears shifted and felt fine. It was tough to tell if it was coming from a specific side of the car. It definitely has to do with one of the wheels in some capacity though since I could hear it get louder at faster speeds, and intermittently got louder with each wheel revolution. Gonna call and head over to the dealership tomorrow to get to the bottom of it. Would a wheel bearing be covered under warranty?
