I'm bringing this thread back from the dead. Priorities changed, and I've decided to let this car go. This car is
NOT a daily driver for the past month, but I do try to drive it around to keep it in good running shape. I'll get the car cleaned up and record some videos this Sunday.
It would be nice to have someone continue this project where it stands. I dropped the asking price from $35k to
$30k. So this is a great starting point for the price.
Changes in the past year:
- The car was in the body shop over the summer due to hail damage. Replaced parts included: windshield, roof, hood, spoiler, and tail light. Repaired parts included: front fenders, passenger door cover, passenger rear quarter panel, rear hatch. I used this chance to have AeroJacket get a hold of a hood and add vents to it. The body shop here did a great job cleaning up the work. It looks sick, and it definitely vents heat from the engine bay.
- No head unit. I never got around to replacing the Kenwood unit that was dead after getting the car back from the body shop, and they refused to pay for a new one. I still have the OEM unit in the box. The car still comes with the Diamond components, JL 12W6v2, and JL amplifier. Simply install a new head unit and make the connections.
- After 2 months some psycho chased me and tried to run me off the road. The result was the freshly painted rear quarter panel sustaining about a 3" scrape (no dent), and some lip rash on my rear wheel.
- I made a boo boo with the rear bumper. It's nothing too major, but it can be sanded and repainted or replaced.
- The FI HFCs were replaced with FI test pipes, so the car is much more responsive and pulls harder. It should make more than 450 whp now on 91 octane.
- There is a bit of oil residue on the passenger side turbo (CHRA). There's no smoke coming out of the exhaust, so this leads me to believe it might be the PCVs. I did plan on getting the PCVs replaced (cheap part), and then clean the throttle bodies and intake pipe. Other than that, the car runs fine and makes lots of power.
- The Whiteline differential mount kit was purchased a few weeks ago from Joe@ZSpeed and was never installed, but it will be include with the purchase of the car.
- The dome LEDs was replaced with parts purchased from a vendor. One of them is sorta dimly lit when "OFF", but it is relatively harmless.
- The drive belt was replaced over a week ago using the Gates part that works with the NST pullies.
