I don't necessarily think that people here hate Civics or their drivers. I own a Civic and a 370z, and have driven a few Si's (with varying levels of modification).
And I also think that the fact that you've SC'd your Si should play a significant factor in your decision. Here's why: At 295WHP you probably are just as quick as, and perhaps even quicker than, a stock 370Z off the line... but the problem is with the inherent limitations of the Civic's chassis and drivetrain configuration. The Si is going to need quite a bit of suspension work to manage the same power as the Z; you're probably going to experience a lot of understeer and a ton of bodyroll if you try to follow the Z through turns & twisties. So really, with a SC, you're already nearing the precipice of performance & driveability in your Si; try to really push the Z, beyond just straight-line acceleration, and you'll see the difference. It's just a higher platform, performance-wise.
