To each his own I guess. If you're chasing that particular type of drink #7 or SB is the way to go.

It's probably unfair to characterize JD as "bad whiskey," as it's somewhat analogous to calling the 370z a bad car because it doesn't seat four.


If you want a "Tennessee whiskey," JD is the standard. I guess there are a couple others that are limited in availability and recognition, but if you want a tennesee whiskey, #7 or SB are the ways to go. GJ is made as a sweet and super-filtered option to break people in to drinking Jack. GJ is probably the worst commercially available bourbon you can find.
