That cnbc vid is probably the dumbest $hit I have ever heard. Generalized empty statements rooted in nothing. I have the weakest of all motors - DE. I have been running xtra 100-125whp (360wtq peak) for over 2 years across 10-15 fills. There is another guy on my350 running 180whp direct port on stock DE block putting down 430whp and 11.3 1/4miles. It is stupid people, bad\budget setups, lack of tuning, lack of precautionary maintenance that kills engines...no matter what power-adder. All power-adders push stock blocks out of OEM spec but most can handle some over headroom. The key is not to over push, read your plugs, periodically check cylinder compression, dialin a good tune and stay within tuned psi. There are ways to manage risk and control the torque, but there will always be some risk.
