Fair enough Safety should certainly be a primary concern in any scenario. A cheap cordless electric one would also probably be safer and have sufficient power if you're just using it to blow water off your car after washing it.

A lot of drivers turn around in front of my house, tearing up the road surface and leaving lots of rocks against the curb and at the driveway entry. My yard work typically includes blowing around a lot of asphalt and dirt, and since I don't just blow it out in the street or on my neighbors property, I have to blow it into piles to clean up by hand. In my circumstances, weak equipment takes significantly longer to accomplish the task.
