it's safer to park next to a minivan (with sliding doors) as long as you're not parked near the front passenger door.

One time I was getting a ride in the RR Nissan courtesy Pathfinder, and one of the older ladies riding along opened the backseat door into the adjacent vehicle (brand new with sticker on the window). Not only did she ding it upon opening, she proceeded to hold it open against the vehicle to let two people get in before her. Each time the door would shift, scratching the other car even more. It looked something like this by the time she got in the car
I definitely like sliding doors, though the thought of children exiting the vehicle at top speed in the Z isn't something I relish
