yah, it depends on how dirty the car is and if i need to wash the wheel wells or not.
sometimes when i dont have time, i would hose the car down after rain (while it's still raining) to rid all the dead leaves and gunk, and then just follow up with waterless wash the next day.
the key here is "while it's raining" to prevent unnecessary water stains.
