Say Hello To Koenigsegg's New 'One:1' Veyron Destroyer - Car Throttle
Swedish Hypercar maker Koenigsegg has revealed details of its new
Agera One:1 model, which will prove to be the
world’s fastest ever production car – by quite some margin.
The One:1 is likely to be powered by a heavily tuned version of the current
5.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 unit you’ll find in the Agera, which produces 947bhp in standard guise. The Agera R model – which runs on biofuel – produces 1140bhp and is already a quicker car than the 1183bhp Veyron Vitesse, as you can see…
The new One:1, by contrast, will produce a heady 1400bhp and will weigh no more than 1400kg – hence it’s name – thanks to extensive use of carbonfibre. Thanks to its 1000bhp per tonne power-to-weight figure, the One:1 will accelerate to
62mph in around 2.6sec and will
max out at 280mph (450kph).
More interesting still is Koenigsegg’s claims that the
One:1 will hit 249mph in just 20 seconds.
No prices have been confirmed (we’re guessing around £1.5m), but reports suggest that the six cars that will be built are already sold.
