Let's assume that the distance between the holes is two quarts (64 fl oz). The "H" is a tenth to an eight (10-12.5%) of that distance above the top hole (using my eyeball micrometer). So that would be ~16 fl oz (1/2 quart). I pretty sure it's closer to one quart between the holes.
It's a handy piece of info for the guys at the dealerships that do oil changes, so how much oil between-the-dots represents may be in the Owner's Manual and/or the FSM.
