if you're painting a lip or something small, i could get it to look like factory finish even with the rattle cans.

but if you're doing a spot fix, say a section of a bumper, it's going to be hard to do to make it flow with the rest of the panel especially if you have a metallic color. issue is, the particles do not line up and even if the colors are matched well, the metalic particle angles will change the shade of the color.
