It's going to be a nice day for a rally, 72 degrees and only a slight chance of rain. Don't forget, rallies run rain or shine.
If you have been thinking about trying a rally, but aren't quite ready to compete, how about helping us out on Saturday? We need two people to man a checkpoint in a cemetery parking lot near Whitesboro. One of us would meet you there about 10:30, and show you what to do, which is take a score sheet from each rallyist that stops at the cemetery, and using a scoring key which we will give you, count how many questions they missed, and write the number on the score sheet. When the last car has passed, we will come collect the sheets from you. Then you are done, or you can follow us to the end in Denton, and watch the fun as we explain what they missed, and tell them who won. Email
rally@texasscca.org to apply for the job.
Put October 26 on your calendar. That’s the day of the Great Pumpkin Rally, ending at the Festival of Pumpkins in Paris, Texas.
