Can't wait to get home!
If you do get one, are you going to reload?
I'm going strait to reloads due to the scarcity (and price ) of factory loads.
We'll have to have a range day after I'm finish building mine.

Been saving brass for a few years. I have nearly 5,000 .556 cases to form into .300 BLK. That was the idea from the get-go.
I built my own .300 AR all from pieces so if you have any questions please ask. I posted a couple pictures of it on this thread awhile back if you are interested in finding it.
Range day sounds great. I'm mostly waiting for my tax stamp to come back and get my suppressor and also for powder/primer costs to come down a bit more before I start reloading so I can hit the range in force.
I only have a couple hundred rounds of factory loaded ammo for the .300 and a very limited stock of .300 Whisper (subsonic) ammo. I decided that since the purpose was going to be mostly urban and thus likely indoors that I wanted a dedicated suppressed weapon so that helped kick out the blackout reticle optics. I looked at the EOTech 300 optic last week. It was nearly pointless and your eyesight better be perfect. I'm just going to slap an Aimpoint T1 on it and call it a day. Otherwise it is a bad-*** mofo. lol! It aint light. But it'll take a beating, kick *** and live to tell the tale.
I figured with turning all my brass into a common subsonic load I would be more than comfortable attaching the suppressor on the bolt gun 300. It is a Surefire Mini 7.62. They recommend for bolt rifles with a barrel length longer than 16". Should work out well.
I know you can't say when you are coming back but pm me when you might like to get together and take the toys to the range.
