I try, but with some folks, it's impossible.
A guy, hipster type, cut in front of me at Costco today -- just cut in line like no big deal. I said, in my consulting voice, "Excuse me". He looked at me and backed up, saying "sorry" or something.
I smiled and told him that prison time teaches how to wait one's turn.
