You are converting from kg/mm (kilograms per millimeter) to lbs/in (pounds per inch), the 2 values are the conversion factors for converting kg to lbs (2.204) and mm to inches (25.4). Multiply the 2 together and you get the total conversion factor (55.9974) or you can apply each individually.

e.g. 8.5 kg/mm x 2.204 x 25.4 = 476 lbs/in
or 8.5kg/mm x 55.9974 = 476 lbs/in
