I have never tried Sta-bil in a vehicle though. I am pretty good about starting the car at least once a week and running it up to temp for a bit. I try to get the half mile to the gas station to fill up again on the nice winter days with NO snow and driveway is not iced over.

yah, definitely good for those canisters for lawn equipment.
when i hibernate my cars, i dont fire up the car at all. the reason is oil temps take a while to reach 180F to rid moisture, plus the steam inside the mid pipe and muffler just accelerates corrosion.
so i just plug the car into my battery manager, place the car on flatstoppers at 42psi, car cover, and that's it. no starts for the 4-6months. i do turn the wheels by hand every 6-7wks just in case to prevent flat spots.
