That didn't work so they ordered a new clutch pedal and replaced mine under warranty a couple of days ago. The new pedal is much quieter and is not making any sounds.
Just a technical note, WD-40 is a cleaner, not a lubricant, it displaces whatever is there so don't use it long term as a lubricant.
