1. An aftermarket Xpipe or Ypipe is legal. I'm sure you can find a rule saying that these are illegal in some form or another, but for all intents and purposes they will be 100% legal.
2. They are much higher flowing replacements to the restrictive OEM cats. They are an EASY 10-20rwhp gain depending on the type of dyno you use. I haven't seen anyone make less than 10hp to the tire, even on the smaller VQ35HR motor.
