Having said that, I was just expressing in a funny way my idea that, always in my humble opinion, the washer mod is a cheap mod that doesn't really do justice to a +$40k car. It's a forum opened to car lovers and I believe you have to deal with both people that compliments you and people that don't. My 2 cents

I agree wholeheartedly, the 370z is WAY too quiet from the factory and while id prefer a full CBE, when i had this mod on(i removed it since it was too loud down low and started to drive me crazy plus im enjoying less attention from the cops lol) the reason i did it was to not waste money on some axle backs that i will end up throwing away when i get a full CBE
this mod literally is just a sound mod just like every other axle back mod out there, its just cheap so many people look down on it

different strokes for different folks, i ended up removing them anyways since it was too loud down low and ended up getting annoying after a month XD

So to me an exhaust selection due to its personal appeal is a very big decision especially if your taste is rather expensive (like mine). I feel that it shouldnt be taken lightly and tat said i spent several weeks figuring out what i liked. I did like some of the cheaper ezhaust sounds but i wanted something that there would be zero fitment issues what so ever.....in the time i took to decide what i liked i tried the washer mod(because dont knock it until you try it mentality) i imediately reverted bc i happened to pull up next to a civic that sounded exactly the same lol. I however had test pipes on it so it was high pitched and whiny sounding. Thats just my opinion on how it sounds. That being said without tps and if you like the sound go for it....but not as an excuse to escape a nicer exhaust system. These cars are beautiful works of art as well as fairly high performance machines with a steeper price tag than a (fill in the blank) ricer. Use the mod to get more sound during your wait time of getting ur nice system but i wouldnt use it any longer than that.
All that being said i believe some of the hate that people theow around about the mod is from people that feel that since you own the same type of car as them, think you should treat it the same as they treat theirs and since they went the full sustem they think i should to. Indirectly what you do to your car affects the whole community of 370z owners because too many ricers getting ahold of the dame car gives that car a bad rap. I dont think anyone wants to see what already happened to the 350z happen to the 370z so soon.
Anyways thats why i get a little hate spread around about it. And all thats my opinion. You can find great deals on ised exhausts(speaking from experience) try to go that route and make a new friend at the same time if you dont want to spend the extra $ right away.
All thats my 2 cents have a good one and gl with wat eva u decide!

ya i have heard that about the washer mod with test pipes, i have stock cats and with the stock cats it sounded like a beefy aftermarket exhaust, i also ended up reverting back to stock for reasons i posted above

I'm sure it sounds nice with the washer mod. I had my exhaust rust away on my 350z at the flange and it ended up replicating the washer mod essentially. Sounded great. lol

too much money, ya it sounds like im being cheap but to spend $100 on axle backs you will end up never using again(and losing money on if you sell them) when you get a full CBE is just a terrible waste of money
ya washer mod seems ricey but it gives you the same result(aka noise) as every axle back exhaust out for the 370z and you can save that $97 and use it towards an aftermarket CBE
