I removed mine to repaint. To remove just the top section (with spoiler off car of course), there are (2) 10mm bolts on each end and (1) in the center post. You need a thin wall socket to get to the center one since the access hole is small. The bolts
ARE Loctited on pretty good. Once the bolts are removed, our friends at Nissan also glued the pieces together. I had to use a small blade tool or screwdriver to gently pry and pull like hell to get the top off. I was stressed that it would break. It didn't....whew. Once I noticed and felt it starting to lift, I eased up and it came off. I didn't bother with Loctite when reinstalling. I just fastened with bolts and added a bit of clear silicone where it was glued.
