The jdm version very well possibly could be 100lbs or so lighter due to it having less safety equipment however it is doubtful they changed too much because that would/could drive up cost and complications on the assembly line.
I don't think any one denied that fact. What was ludicrous was your statement about how there was more carbon fiber and titanium, and that they use different metallurgy specs because of the safety regulations being less stringent.
