this is just my guess. I think they are nixxing them now so when they bring them back as a cost option. People will just focus on the fact that manuals are back and optional. They won't focus on "why are they paying more money for a tranny that's cheaper to build than the standard auto.".

Only 20% of the market buys manuals, but 20% of 1,000,000 is still 200,000. That's a viable number and a considerable demand. Manuals a rent going anywhere. The halt is all market strategy.
