You can do it with polarized sunglasses

I seem to be having difficulty expressing myself ...let me try this way..you have a light source,.,A... and then three pieces of polarized glass or plastic put two between your eye and the light source and rotate them in such a way as to stop all the light from coming through,,. as you just indicated ...,.then put the third piece between your eye and the two other polarizers..not changing them .. and see it you can rotate the third in such a way as to once again see the light,..

Whew!!
