I love this intake, but I got the black chrome finish more for looks than anything. The very high quality filters are the other main reason for the purchase. I run it in Texas, and sure the IATs are pretty hot, but not outrageous. Probably not the best option if you're tracking your car regularly.

These were my first performance mod and I still don't have an exhaust or anything, so I get the full effect of the sound. I was very happy. It's about stock loud under 4K RPMs with light throttle. Gets a lot more throaty than stock when you start getting closer to WOT and get those RPMs up Here is my install thread, but the links appear to be dead.
