Far away and providing extra buffer space and protection for their car, yes. Simply parking far away and straight into and to the far side of a spot would accomplish the same goals. The extreme angle and multiple spot usage is too douchey and "look at me" for my personal taste.
But then again, we're a judgmental bunch who base what's right and what's wrong on our personal viewpoints (opinions).
