I've done it by accident, the rears will fit on the front. Didn't go anywhere or check the fitment really but the offset wasn't bad.

The reason I keep the stagger is to fit the maximum tire possible. If you can fit 285 in front and easily 305 in back why would you put a 285 in the rear? Then tune balance in suspension. (Although if we get STU it'll be 285 all around, still maximizing rubber).
