Well, it was packaged exceptionally well and there was actually some packing that was still in the intake tube. When I was removing them it was at the throttle body and my heart dropped. Thankfully nothing seemed to go into the plenum. Re installed, drove around the block and all is well. Car revs freely. Sounds great. And no SES lights to speak of.
As is this needs to be repeated, taking your time and checking EVERYTHING is very important. Im not a little kid and hate when I make mistakes like this, but my ADHD gets the best of me at time and it happens. Thankfully nothing was damaged and all is well.
On a happy note, it seems that the AEM intake will work on a 2013 with no issues at all. Install was simple and as of right now and about 3 miles of driving hard, no SES lights. I will update later this week. Initial driving impressions are better throttle response and toe-in. Sound is not overly aggressive or loud, but just about right.
