I'm plenty educated! Been driving it for thousands of miles. I understand the mechanical differences, but the bottom line is there's very little practical difference. The 7AT shifts pretty damn fast, fast enough that a 6MT driver following me around the track was envious of the shift times. I'm not being sensitive, but I am defending the transmission. I think most of the naysayers haven't ever given the 7AT an honest shot. It's nothing like other crappy autos you've seen in other cars.
