Does it take A WHILE for your oil temps to rise? Because the Nismo one doesn't have a thermostatic plate
Yep, I understand that its a 34 row, I was saying compared to a 19 or 25. I literally had to remove my front just to get to the top of it.

For engine temps, it really doesn't take long to start to heat...just doesn't get very high? I actually had no idea it had an oil cooler until a week after I bought it and it was like 95 degrees out and after going on a cruise, I still had zero engine temp issues, weren't even getting high. Had stopped and hopped into a local members 40th which his engine temps were nearly 70 degrees higher.

I've begun looking into the termostatic plate since I live in MN. I ususally store the car by October, but there are days that it gets down below 50 degrees before then. How much of a concern will this be for me, and what are things that can result?

Thanks again for all this input. I hadn't looked into oil coolers all that much until last fall when my G37 went into limp mode on the track and I kind of freaked out. Very VERY happy about this information.
