So I went out to the garage a few hours ago to work on interior detailing only to find that one of my two overhead garage fluorescent lights wasn't working properly (one bulb was dark but still barely on, and the other was very dim).

There is no ground that I can find the connections seem to be in good order and two new bulbs performed identically (nearly off and very dim). Last option is the ballast They are 6' fixtures with two lamps each, and the damn lamps are $75 apiece I have a nearly full case (10), so I definitely want to fix the light before I consider replacing it. And thanks to Google, I found replacement parts for both fixtures for ~$60. I'll replace the ballast and the four lampholders on the one that's failing and have the same spare parts for the other fixture should it start to go
