From Avon Barksdale randomly losing and/or changing his accent throughout the movie, to the really badawful generic characters and really unnecessary slow/boring/dumb sideplots. Seriously, try to not be distracted by the marshall's ever-changing accent.
-Charlie Day's character didn't even need to be in the movie.
-No one cares about Avon Barksdale and the fact that he's sick. Everyone knew what was going to happen once he got in his robot anyway.
-The romance out of nowhere thing was particularly insipid.
-Ron Perlman should probably kill himself.
-The RZA should not have made a rap song about robots punching sea monsters. It was bad.

Ex:
Girl says to guy: I don't like your tactics. You take risks and your crew pays for it.
Guy says: "I HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE DECISIONS I MAKE ~~IN BATTLE~~"
I mumbled to myself, "he's a loose cannon and he's OUT OF CONTROL!"

That's a thing that actually happened in this movie.

tl;dr if you take it as camp like the old godzilla movies, ignore the stupid subplots and tune your brain out, it's fun as hell to watch robots punch seamonsters but you really need to turn your brain off or there are a lot of little things that will drive you nuts.
I saw this the other day myself. While you are completely accurate in your write-up, I cant help but say, "Dude...giant robots fighting huge monsters..." It's the latest version of Independence Day, and that isn't an insult in the slightest. It was a completely moronic movie to watch for plot, but the effects were fantastic and it was fun. I went in with my brain off and came out smiling.

Although one particularly irritating thing happened in the movie: when they said their Jaeger was "analogue, not digital". Ah, apparently all those flashy moving picture control screens all over the place in their cockpit wouldn't be affected by the EMP the monster did, then...

^--Actual semi-spoiler inside.
