Because of time constraints and a lack of proper tools, I had it installed for me. It's super simple though. It took the mechanic about two hours. Just remember to have some extra oil. I went ahead and did a full change, and it took about 6.5 quarts.

I think this is a good move on your part. In the long run, the savings are insignificant.
