Good Morning weekend early-birds!
I made major progress last night fitting my 4" to 2" reducers into my brake ducts.
After spending weeks trying to find a machine shop willing to deal with such a small, odd job, including even a very generous offer from forum member Rusty, I realized I could just do it myself.
The piece I was trying to get turned is about five inches long. There was no way I could evenly turn it down with a Dremel tool. However, when I cut it down to about 3/4 of an inch, it was easy. The adapter will be glued into the duct anyway, so it's final length is irrelevant.
I did the first one last night while watching the Tour de France in the den. Let's just say it's a good thing mrs. gurney is out of town this week or I probably wouldn't be here to type this right now.

There was black plastic dust everywhere in spite of laying down a large tarp to work on. Today's work will be happening in the garage.
Z crew BBQ today. Looks to ge a great day.
Good luck with the auto x ms. bc. LOVE the new hair cut!
Have fun guys!
