Good to hear about Chantilly. Here's my two cents about my recent service experiences:
1)
Koons Nissan Falls Church
I recently went there when a tire suddenly went flat. I kept the car there for a couple days while I ordered tires (they had none in stock and couldn't touch Tirerack.com's price). When they installed them the first time, they didn't bother balancing them - no weights, nothing. When I returned the next day they didn't bother using my wheel lock key and exploded the locks trying to take it off and busted up the rims. Never going back.
2)
Rosenthal Nissan Tysons
Overall, I've had good service there but they try to upsell at every corner. For $40 you get an oil change but for $90 they "check" your battery, brakes, air-filter, cabin-filter (my 09 doesn't even have one), etc. Last time I was there I waited for an express oil change and it
was done quick. But, as I pulled off, I glanced at my temperature gauge and noticed it was already at operating temp (about 190 degrees). Is that even possible if they actually changed the oil?
