Slow, relative to a Corvette -- the benchmark for speed noted by the OP, and presumably why it feels slow.

The Z is blindingly fast relative to many other cars (I love my Z, but I know what it can and cannot do -- and personally, I have more interest in owning an FR-S or a Elise than a 'vette).

In track tests I seem to recall the Nismo was (surprisingly) marginally poorer performing on a few track-based metrics (including braking and skidpad...) as compared to the sport package Z, but I could be (and should be!) wrong.

It is unknown whether these differences are solely due to driver. The Nismo also crashed into a wall because the brakes failed... that's probably more on the car (and the nature of the test) than the driver.

Either way, the body kit, better bracing, nicer wheels and tires etc make the Nismo very bad *** -- no besmirching of the model's worthiness intended here...
