OK, so the car's really great...and takes my boxer dog in the back...but.

Ya, like other's have said, that first production year is bound to have some kinks but people can't help themselves to grab that new car. (So I avoided it...or tried.)

Yes!

I specified a "made in 2010 car". That's on the contract and the dealer put it in the Government license booklet ("reg book" or "Matriculation book").
In Europe a 2010 car is Euro5 spec.
This one turns out to be Euro4 and minus some 2010 parts.
Actually they made a complete mess of all the paperwork ...part of the scam....made me into a suspicious character cos nothing matches up.
Nissan routinely avoided registered letters or e-mails.
It took me 2.5 years of aggro for Nissan to admit the car was made in May 2009....and it broke down --VVEL relays and steering lock warranty denied then, so I have a laugh now a new lock is offered...but even supplying that strains Nissan Spain!
(European VINs conceal the date of manufacture, despite Wikepedia who are wrong !).
Dealer stonewalls the date and "didn't know" and still stonewalls....but Nissan's invoice to her shows the year model "MY09" and "Euro4" is elsewhere.
Nissan actually help the dealer in this scam...and still do.

The car's super (in spite of small problems). The customer service network exists to push loads of paper and to push me into accusations of fraud if I have an insurance claim or try to sell it.

Angry? You bet! Who needs this non-stop aggro? ...and I don't ask for USA style compensation and penalties.

Fritz,
I feel for you brother... It's a shame Nissan spain does bad business.
