I agree with Chuck. PS pumps are pretty simple things. I don't know anything about the reliablilty of the shop you used, or their trustworthyness, but get under there and take a look at it yourself. If the leak location isn't obvious, clean the area up, top off the pump res, and have someone start the car (while the tires are safely blocked, of course), and turn the wheel lock to lock. The leak location should make itself known....
If you do end up needing a new pump, search online. There are so many parts sites online, that I would find it very hard to believe you'll need to spend anywhere near what Nissan is asking. I'm surprised at your $700 quote!
