with Jar it depends on how far you want to go or take your detailing. However I have both rotary and DA I can safely say 95-98% of the time a DA will be more then enough to get the job done

I would also look into getting 2 different sizes of pads and back plates so you can get to all areas large or small. My griots DA I use both 6" and 3" pads
