Yes the turbos are 20gs with greddys custom housings. Not sure if the wheels are typical Mitsubishi or slightly custom for greddy. I see no reason to run anything smaller on this car. People worry about lag but that is not a concern... This car isn't like a supra or evo that would struggle to run a 15 second 1/4 mile without its boost... This car is a low 13 second car before there's any forced induction... So it already has acceptable pull/motivation before the airflow exceeds NA... And the turbos come on so fast anyway... Smaller turbos would only promote more midrange tire smoking torque, which doesn't get you accelerating any better, and sacrifice of power at the top of the rpm band, where you can actually use it.
My car makes higher than average power per psi because of many minor instances of attention to detail and hand finishing work on every part before I install it... And probably mostly because I don't tune my car like I'm afraid of it. Other tuners would never let you leave the shop with as much ignition timing as I run... But the truth with ignition timing is that the more power its making the more correct the timing is.
I would rather run less boost and more timing, to have a more efficient (in every way) engine. Other tuners prefer to run more boost, and reduce efficiency in the tune.. This way there is more room for error/slop in the tune before you're at the brink of destroying the engine. Sounds lame but this scenario is generally more ideal for the end user that doesn't tune their own car, especially if they plan to hold their tuner liable for their engine. Any tuner could make the same or possibly more power in someone else's car with similar mods if they chose to be aggressive with the tune, so there's no black magic in my car.
