In order to participate, the owner must submit their car to a full inspection at a Nissan dealer and be signed-off as passing the inspection. I'll e mail you the form tomorrow morning for "just in case".
Guest's will be given the opportunity to participate in their host's car. As to who can drive Nissan's cars has not been explained yet.
Any damage incurred to a car is not covered by warranty or insurance. It's going to be a neat day and a special experience at COTA, no matter what the level of participation.
We really won't know the whole story until we get there on Saturday.
As of right now, I don't even have a car. Mine spent the whole day at the dealer trying to get a brake leak diagnosed. I may be watching from the sidelines too, and that's fine with me.
Honestly, I'm going to hang out with my friends and enjoy the experience.

Sounds good - you nailed it with your last statement
If you want, you can register my car as yours (I'll get the inspection), and you can drive it
