When entertainment has elements and issues that I have to "just deal with" or overcome so I can have fun, it puts a damper on things. We don't even own the games we buy. I can't go to my buddy's house to show off my new game without having to jump through hoops. I can't lend it to him if I wanted to, I can't resell it if I want, I can't even give it to my girlfriend's little brother after I am done with it and collecting dust.

So if my internet connection is down for 2 or 3 days for some dumb reason, I'm SOL to play my $60 single player games on my $400 console?

I think it is complete arrogance on MS's part. And I have choice of whether or not to buy it.

Sorry to rant and it wasn't really directed to you Mr&Mrs.
One thing that needs to be clear is that both Microsoft and Sony are allowing the developers to choose how strict their DRM is. If they choose to have none then the game will have none. It is not up to either company. What Sony has said is that their (and by that I mean Sony) games will be DRM free.

We cant get to upset at these things because people stealing is what has made things come to this. I hope, HOPE that having DRM will allow games to be cheaper one day for everyone.

Also from what I understand you will be able to have a certain number of people on your friends list that can play any games you have to try them out. Up to the developers you will be able to sell/trade games also.

No problem rants are welcome in this thread!

Im a little cold so I see nothing wrong with that. Xbox 360s will probably drop to 100.00 by Christmas. So if people do not already have one it will be a great time for them to get it. Unless there is a major power grid failure your not going to be without internet for more than a day or two. If you cant go that long without a game you have more problems.

It just sounds like a reason to complain to me, im sorry.
