Sounds like quite the adventure. I hear about this kind of thing happening but where I live, I have got nothing but compliments. Though I did drive by a group of skater kids hanging out at the movie theater. I got some whistling but one decided to throw up the L over his forehead. I just laughed to myself and thought about how much he must love riding that wood. But seriously mostly stares of envy and compliments.
